CTN collects plastic film and flexible packaging

To increase the amount of film and flexible packaging from communities, Circular Colorado is inviting school districts across the state to join the Circular Transportation Network (CTN), a program of Circular Colorado and the CEDC. The CTN is funded in part by a grant from The Recycling Partnership to support the initiation of a collection system to collect, consolidate and recycle film and flexible packaging.

Plastic film and flexible packaging includes items like grocery, produce, newspaper and dry-cleaning bags, plastic mailers and bubble wrap. Check out our guide for school districts to get started. Schools will help keep valuable materials out of landfills and support local manufacturers who turn this waste into new, useful products. It’s a simple way to make a big difference—and it’s completely free to participate.
